This past weekend we were in Austin for the infamous Spam Town Challenge baseball tournament. I'm sure you are all saying, "I thought Nick decided not to play this year." Well think again people....the guys roped him in to ONE more season. But I'm not holding my breath for next year. Anyway, we had a fabulous time hanging out with family and watching ball. The Hounds played well and won their first three games but lost the game to go to the championship. It was a hard fought game but they just couldn't score the final runs to tie the game. My brother and his girlfriend Jamie came as well as my brother in law, Erich. Saturday night they had a band so we did plenty of singing and dancing. And you better believe Nick made an appearance at the microphone singing "Sweet Caroline." His best buddy Craig also contributed to the song playing the bongo drums.....it was quite funny! The weather didn't cooperate as we hoped with scattered showers and chilly winds on and off Saturday but at least it wasn't a total wash out as years passed had been. Nick had an awesome weekend hitting and was in the Austin Herald Newspaper. Way to go hunny! http://www.austindailyherald.com/2011/06/23/hounds-open-spamtown-with-a-win/
