Today was a very special day as we had Stella baptized! She looked like a beautiful angel all dressed in white. Her gown was a combination of mine and Nick's family. She wore the slip and shoes from the dress that all of the Barnett girls wore and my sister's gown and bonnet that my Grandma Kogler made. (She would have wore my baptismal gown but it got stained and ruined so my mom had to toss it out). She also wore a beautiful bracelet my mom made for her and a cross necklace from her Godfather Jake and his girlfriend Jamie. Stella was so good, she slept through most of the service and was just waking up as the Pastor poured the water over her head. She fussed a little but did great. There were two other babies baptised but I'd have to say she was the most adorable!
After the service we had all of our family over for a nice lunch in our backyard. It was a little chillier than what we were expecting but thankfully we didn't get rained on. Can you believe this though, on one of the most special day's in Stella's life I didn't have my camera....Ahh! I left it at work, what a crazy person! Luckily my sister in law and mother in law had theirs so they took pictures for me......Shout out to Sarah and Nancy....total lifesavers!!! Overall it was a beautiful celebration!
